Travelling to France? Here are some essential steps which should help make your French Schengen Visa planning a pleasant experience.
As a UK resident, you can apply for a French Schengen visa, which will allow you to travel to France and other Schengen countries for up to 90 days within a 180-day period.
A UK resident is anyone with a Biometric Residence Permits (BRP) card, UK Residence Permit or Channel Island stamp in their passport.
New Schengen Rules from 2025
If you are travelling to more than 1 Schengen country in an 8 week period, you must apply to the country you are spending the most time in, If you are spending equal amounts of time in two Schengen countries in an 8 week period, then you apply to the country that is your first destination. If you are not sure, please get in touch so we can advise you correctly.
